![]() To make an extender to work adequately you would have to place it near the original access point to get a good signal, meaning that the extension wouldn't be very long. I agree, there's no such thing as business or industrial grade WIFI Extender. They may exist but I have never encountered anyone that was pleased with the results they achieved by adding a Wifi extender. It is always better to add additional Wifi Access points that are wired to provide adequate coverage. An extender should always be avoided except perhaps for the most temporary of solutions. An extender is by it's very nature a very poor solution that can only provide 25% of the original bandwidth. There is really no such thing as "a good commercial grade WIFI Extender". I would appreciate any advice or direction as there are literally HUNDREDS of makers of these and reviews are literally all over the map. I noticed in the manual first it is meant for a home and second it is not meant to operate over 104f and I know our shop gets hooter than that as we are in Northern California in the Redding area which gets flipping HOT! Anyone have any good recommendations? Someone else provided me a TP LINK TL-WA860RE and it disconnects all the time, I have to unplug it and plug it back in almost daily. I am hoping for one that I can buy additional extenders to add onto the WIFI system to cover any dead spots. So since I belong to this great community I thought I would ask my fellow Spiceworks members to see what others are using in a similar environment. I did some looking around and I am not finding the quality of information I was hoping to find on something that is good and that I can add onto. it can get to 120F in the auto bays during the summer (like it is now). I need to buy for our company a WIFI Extender OR ACCESS POINT that will operate in a high heat environment. ![]() I know the reason is because of the environment. ![]() Our shop is pretty large it is about 400 feet across and currently we have a Netgear router (this works fine) and we of course can not get much signal out of the office areas into the Shop very far at all. I need some help with this request, I am the IT Administrator for an automotive manufacturing company and we have a need for WIFI in our shop.
